Our Friday morning began with an apple tasting session. We tasted green, red, and yellow apples and recorded what we thought of each type. We discussed what the differences were and then made a graph to show which apples were our favorite.
Mrs. Spata's mother, Linda Hervold, and her daughter, Brittany, came to help peel, slice, and core apples so we could make applesauce. Brittany's husband, Dan, also came to join in the fun!
We read Gail Gibbon's book, The Seasons of Arnold's Apple Tree. We learned that the apple tree changes with the seasons. We made a project to show the different ways the apple tree looks throughout the year.
