Our Visit to the Fort Atkinson Fire Department

We enjoyed a beautiful walk from Luther Elementary School to the Fort Atkinson Fire Department.  It was fun to notice the how the trees are changing.  We were warmly greeted by the fire chief and firefighters of Fort Atkinson.

We started our day with a question: Have you been to a fire station?

The fire chief of Fort Atkinson, Mike Reel, welcomes us to the station.

Firefighters need to know their colors.  They also need to be good at math.

We watched as a firefighter put on all his gear and learned that we should not be afraid of him.

We went downstairs for a movie and discussion about fire safety.

Working smoke detectors should be in all our homes.

We LOVED our visit to the Fort Atkinson Fire Department!

When we returned to school, we made firefighters.  We will send them to the fire station with a great big "THANK YOU" for all they do for us!

Hope to see everyone at the Fort Atkinson Fire Department Pancake Breakfast this
Sunday, October 14!!
