Dr. Seuss Week and Read Across America

We had an exciting week of reading Dr. Seuss books.  Students loved each book and enjoyed the funny characters and rhymes.  We wrote about our favorite book in our Thoughtful Logs and played a rhyming game.  Our math centers were focused on Dr. Seuss themes and included measurement, adding sets, and odd/even numbers.  I hope you enjoy some pictures of our week!

Mrs. Smith came to read The Grinch Who Stole Christmas.

Mrs. Humes came to read The Foot Book.

Students use cubes to add sets and record their answers.

Students use cubes to determine odd/even numbers.

Students use rulers and cubes to measure the length and width of Dr. Seuss hats.

Mrs. Smith (Sam) came to read Green Eggs and Ham on Friday.
