First Days of Kindergarten

Our first days of kindergarten have been spent getting to know each other.  We are making friends and learning how to:                    
                                            Be respectful
                                            Be responsible
                                            Be safe
                                            Be ready to learn

We read Miss Bindergarten Gets Ready for Kindergarten by Joseph Slate.  As we read the book, we learned to make connections.  I shared with the class my connections with the story as I prepared our classroom for kindergarten.  Here are some pictures of our classroom.


This is our large group meeting area.  This is where the "Magic Carpet" is located.  It is the place where magic/learning happens when we follow the classroom expectations.
